The land of Daventry is dying, decaying and crumbling. Edward has lost the three magic treasures that once protected the land. With no heir, all he can do is wait the inevitable destruction of his land. His last hope is his loyal knight Sir Graham. Sensing his final breath is soon, he sends for his knight, offering him the kingdom if he is able to find the three treasures and return before his death.

King Graham travels to Kolyma to find a bride. Daventry's new prime minister Gervain convinces Graham to look outside of Daventry for a bride, based on an image Graham saw in the magic mirror. While there he must overcome the Black Cloak Society, and stop the witch Hagatha and The Father, and save both his Kingdom and Kolyma.

The young baby Gwydion is kidnapped from his castle by the evil wizard Manannan (a member of the Black Cloak Society), to grow up as his slave. As is the tradition of the evil wizard, he will kill the boy upon his eighteenth birthday. That date is fast approaching, and it is up to Gwydion to escape the wizard, and find his way home.
